Cristina Vita Aranda was a model and influencer known for her workout routines and training sessions.

She had been married to pro-footballer Ivan Torres for around a decade, with the couple reportedly planning to divorce in the upcoming year.

Ivan and Cristina share three children together.

With over 541K followers on Instagram, Cristina often shared lifestyle content and recipes.

She also shared workout videos to her YouTube account, which has over 3.1K subscribers.

What happened to Cristina Vita Aranda?

On Sunday, January 30, 2022, the Ja’umina Fest took place at the José Asunción Flores amphitheater in Paraguay.

In attendance at the show were both Cristina and Ivan.

Shots were fired during the concert, killing at least two people and injuring at least four more.

Cristina was pronounced dead shortly after being rushed to hospital with a bullet wound to her head.

Local reports said Ivan helped get his wife to a hospital, and was left uninjured.

Confirming 29-year-old Cristina’s death, Itaugua Nacional Hospital director Yolanda Gonzalez said: “She was intubated when she arrived and attempts were made to resuscitate her for at least 25 minutes after she went into cardiac arrest.

“She died after the lengthy attempts to save her life.”

Who is Ivan Torres?

Born on February 27, 1991, Ivan Torres is a professional footballer for Club Olimpia in Paraguay.

“One of Cristina’s priorities was to be close to her followers,” Ivan wrote via Instagram following his wife’s untimely death.

He went on to invite followers and fans to pay their respects at a service for Cristina held at a funeral home in Asunción. 

“Out of respect in this delicate moment, the entrance to the wake room will be exclusively for family and friends,” he continued.

“We appreciate your desire to accompany us in this delicate moment. We ask you to use the space on the ground floor to leave a dedication and pay tribute to Vita.”
