Christopher Wallace is a journalist and news anchor who was born on October 12, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Chris Wallace, a Harvard graduate, has worked for major news organizations such as CBC, ABC, Fox News, and CNN.

He has received numerous prestigious awards as one of the most trusted news anchors. He has received three Emmy Awards, one Peabody Award, and one duPont-Columbia University Silver Baton Award. He is also well-known for his interviewing style. His tough interviewing style appeals to viewers.

Wallace worked for Fox News from the year 2003 to 2021, during his time there, he was the host of Fox News Sunday and his interviews with United States’ former president Barack Obama and Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin were liked and highly praised by the general public.

He was the moderator between US former president Donald Trump and former secretary Hillary Clinton’s debate during the 2016 States’ Presidential Elections. After being a moderator for the 2016 States’ election, he again became a moderator for the 2020 States’ Presidential Elections between current president Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump’s debate.

Wallace in the year 2021 on December 12 announced that he was leaving Fox News and that was his last time hosting Fox News Sunday. Why did Chris Wallace leave Fox?

Chris Wallace opened up about his decision to leave Fox News. After the journalist left Fox News, he revealed the real reason and admitted that Fox News’ people started questioning January 6, 2021, United States riot and the 2020 States’ elections.

Questions started arising about January 6 riots and also about the 2020 presidential elections making it difficult for him to stay in Fox News. His former Fox News co-workers Sean Hannity and’ Tucker Carlsons’ emphasis on this matter didn’t help Chris at all. Not able to handle the questions, Chris finally made the decision.

Chris Wallace on his episode of Fox News Sunday announced that he’s leaving the news channel. He thanked the viewers for taking time out of their busy schedules to watch his show and also he cherishes that every day every viewer spends an hour with him.

He also said that after leaving Fox News he will try something new, something that is not politics and he is looking forward to exploring it. He further added that he was happy and enjoyed his limited time with Fox News but, now the time is here to say goodbye for good.

Chris Wallace in one of his interviews after leaving Fox News said that he is fine with opinion: conservative opinion and liberal opinion. He also mentioned that Fox News has changed over the year.

Harvard graduate journalist also recalled that at the time of his joining, Fox News promised that they would not get involved in his work and have kept that promise. The news channel said that they are proud of Chris’s work and addressed the issue of the new host of Fox News Sunday. The stellar team of the show said that the program will keep on going and will be rotationally hosted by their journalist until they have a permanent host.

Later, CNN released a statement stating that Chris will be joining as a CNN+ anchor which will launch a year later. They also posted that it’s a rare opportunity, that Chris Wallace, himself will be joining them in their new venture. Jeff Zucker said that Wallace is a fine journalist in the business, he also added that they are thrilled to have Wallace with them to help build CNN for the next generation.
