From hidden genres to a “roulette” button, here’s a list of the top features and tricks offered by the U.S. streaming app.

Netflix gives you the ability to download shows so you can watch them on the go.

The best part about this feature is you don’t need WiFi or an internet connection to stream – this is ideal for long flights or car rides.

Then, select ‘Find Something to Download,’ and you can then browse movies and shows.

Netflix hidden games

Netflix has a series of games that you can access via the Android or iOS app.

Open your app and type “games” into the search tool.

You should notice a selection of games pop up – there is even a ‘Stranger Things 3’ game.

Click the game you want to play and click “Get Game” to install it.

Play Netflix roulette if you’re feeling indecisive

If you’re struggling to find something to watch on Netflix, a “random” button may be the answer.

An online tool called Netflix Roulette picks out a show or movie so you don’t have to.

It even lets you filter by genre and IMDB rating to help hone your searches.

You can even add other streaming services like Amazon Prime Video to search through all your viewing options in one place.

You can find the Netflix Roulette wheel here.

Add third-party extensions

One of the parts about Netflix is that it is compatible with hundreds of third-party extensions that can make your experience that much more enjoyable.

One of the best extensions is Netflix Party, which lets you host remote movie marathons with your friends and family.

This extension from Google Chrome syncs up your chosen content to ensure that everyone is watching at the same time.

There’s even a chat feature so you can communicate with each other.

Find hidden movies using secret codes

There are loads to watch on Netflix so it can be a bit like searching for a needle in a haystack to find that perfect movie.

Thankfully there is something that can help, with secret category codes.

Netflix’s way of displaying categories isn’t liked by everyone so if you would like things done the old-fashioned way, category codes are the way to go.
