Stars need to get out once in a while — even legends like Liza Minnelli. After grabbing dinner with her old friend, fellow actor George Hamilton, Minnelli was seen leaving Il Piccolo in Hollywood looking “as glamorous as ever,” according to Metro. Minnelli almost didn’t survive a rare case of viral encephalitis in 2000 and broke doctors’ expectations that she wouldn’t walk or talk again. She told NBC News in 2010 that after hearing that news she started reciting the alphabet: “You know, that’s what it felt like because I had Carnegie Hall to rehearse. I want to live. I have always wanted to live.”

And live Minnelli certainly does! The Daily Mail noted that after getting into her car after leaving the restaurant, Minnelli and Hamilton continued talking for a while before they both left. Having just celebrated her 76th birthday, we are reminded of what Minnelli said to Express upon her 75th birthday. “I am ageless,” she told the outlet. “Truly. I never think about age.” Keep doing you, Liza. After all, “What good is sitting alone in your room?”
