According to his pals Lucy Hale and Annie Leonard, Osborne spent the last few years of his life obsessed by his addiction. Annie stated on social media a few days after his death that his drinking had caused her to set limits in the last year of his life.
She went on to say that she had always assumed Drew would become sober and that their relationship would resume where it had ended.

End-stage alcoholism, also known as late-stage alcoholism, is the final stage of many people’s alcohol-related illnesses. It’s the result of decades of alcoholism, which has resulted in both mental and physical health issues.
