With over twenty million records sold, she became the highest-earning regional Mexican artist.

Jennie Rivera and six other passengers flew from Monterrey, Mexico, to Toluca, Mexico. Shortly after takeoff, the plane suddenly crashed into the ground, diving almost vertically and reaching a speed of over 600 miles per hour.
All seven passengers on the flight died, including Mexican American star Jenni Rivera.
The lawsuit was filed involving the plane owners, Rivera’s estate, and family members of those on board with Rivera.
An official investigation team was held, but the specific cause of the plane was not determined. It’s believed that the loss of control of the aircraft caused the crash.
