Sanna Marin, the current Prime Minister of Finland, is a Finnish politician. She was appointed Prime Minister on December 8, 2019, following Antti Rinne’s resignation due to the postal strike controversy.
Marin, who took office at the age of 34, is Finland’s youngest Prime Minister and the world’s fourth-youngest state leader.
Marin has been a member of the Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP) and a member of the Finnish Parliament since 2015.
In November 2020, she was named one of the BBC’s 100 Women, and in December 2020, she was ranked 85th on the list of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.
Marin was also featured on the cover of Time Magazine’s “Time100 Next” issue and was named one of the 25 most influential people by Financial Times.

Sanna Marin parents are her father, Lauri Marin, and her mother, whose name has not been disclosed.
Her parents separated when she was a young girl, and she has not been in touch with her father, who she described as an alcoholic.
After separating from her husband, Sanna’s mother started living with her female partner.
Sanna was raised by her mothers and knew from early childhood that her family was different from other ordinary families.
She was the only child in a rainbow family who lived in a terraced house with rent.
Sanna’s mother came from a working-class family and spent her early childhood in an orphanage and started working and living by herself at 15.

Sanna Marin is married to Markus Räikkönen, and the couple has a daughter.
They have been together for several years and tied the knot in August 2020 at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Kesäranta.
Räikkönen is a tech person who works in communications and is an investor at Global VC firm Headline.com.
The couple was blessed with a daughter, Emma Amalia Marin, in January 2018.
Marin and her husband, Räikkönen, are often seen together at different social and political events.
The Finland PM is often criticized for her party lifestyle, such as dancing wildly at a club.
Nevertheless, she has maintained professionalism regarding her job as the Prime Minister.
