The Western Conference NBA finals saw the Golden State Warriors clinch a thumping victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. It seems the Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf is a hardcore Warriors fan cheering for Steph Curry that night. However, he got indulged in a wild argument after a Mavs reporter got triggered by Metcalf’s tweet.

Just moments before the final game between the Warriors and the Mavericks was about to begin, Metcalf drew his predictions for the night. “Warriors in 5,” he wrote on Twitter. Moreover, the 24-year-old extended his support for Steph Curry with a follow-up tweet.

Surprisingly, the match went as he anticipated, and the Warriors went 5-0 in the western conference finals under the leadership of head coach Steve Kerr. However, this comment didn’t go well with Mavs’ Issac Harris who covers for the team. “Seahawks be lucky to hit 5 wins this year,” he wrote in reaction to Metcalf’s tweet.

The wide receiver doesn’t seem like a person who would keep mum. He had an unexpected response for the reporter, “Ask yo momma how many wins we gone get” he wrote.

Fans were thoroughly entertained over the exchange of verbal couplets between the two, and a heating debate started as to how the Seahawks will perform this year.

The records weren’t impressive from the Seahawks’ side for the past few seasons. But the five wins point seemed to edge towards a harsh side. According to a media outlet, the NFC West team is expected to pull off a 6-11 or 7-10 record this season at best. Moreover, it still remains to be seen how Metcalf creates an impact in the upcoming season.

After Russel Wilson parted ways with the team, the offensive unit has already slimmed its chances for a Super Bowl contention. Moreover, leaving star-wide receiver DK Metcalf may not prove viable for the team.

For the past few weeks, he was speculated as trade bait, but every time the front office came to his defense. “I’m going into Year 4, and I think it’s time for me to step up and be a leader,” Metcalf spoke about his future intentions recently on Garnett’s show.
