Cincinnati Bengals Superstar QB Joe Burrow Finally Opens Up on What Actually Happened During the Last Offensive Snap of the Super Bowl

QB Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals has finally spoken about the snap during the last offensive play of the Super Bowl, which cost the Bengals their first-ever Vince Lombardi Trophy. Burrow mentioned how he visualized the play but had to take another path during the match.

Speaking to correspondent Ben Baby, Burrow mentioned the chain of events during the last snap of the Super Bowl between the Bengals and the Rams. The athlete mentioned that he had intended on throwing the ball to WR Ja’Marr Chase and had checked out his running path. However, he was unable to make the play on the field.

He said, “I was anticipating throwing it, I just didn’t quite have the time…”

Burrow was swung wildly by Aaron Donald and he ended up passing to Samaje Perine, which turned out to be incomplete. If Burrow had made the pass to Chase, it may very well have been a different outcome for the Bengals.

Chase appeared to have Jalen Ramsey beat during that snap. These led the Rams to run out the clock and go home with the Vince Lombardi Trophy, winning the match 23-20.

Burrow threw for 263 yards in the Super Bowl and got one touchdown. Apart from this, though, he got sacked 7 times throughout the game, which the Bengals ultimately lost with a very narrow margin.

This was the first Super Bowl appearance for the Cincinnati Bengals since 1989. The Bengals have played in three Super Bowls (1982, 1989, and 2022) and have not yet won the big one yet.
