Eddie Hearn is ‘glad’ he is not involved in the organisation of Tyson Fury‘s fight with Dillian Whyte as he says there are ‘lots of problems to resolve’ before the fight.

The Gypsy King will put his WBC title on the line when he faces Whyte at Wembley Stadium on April 23, but, the pair are said to fighting behind the scenes already.

Eddie has revealed the extent of their bickering and even raised concern over whether the blockbuster bout will even happen by saying he ‘hopes they both get in the ring’.

Speaking TalkSPORT, Hearn said: ‘There’s just loads of different problems to resolve. I don’t think it’s gonna affect the fight.

‘But, to be honest with you, I’m so glad I’m not involved. Because I’ll just turn up or whatever I’ll do, tune in and watch it. Hopefully they both get in the ring and give everybody a great fight.’

After months of back and forth between the two heavyweights, the two finally agreed to settle things inside the ring which will see Fury put his WBC heavyweight title on the line at Wembley Stadium on April 23.

However, the build-up to the fight has already had its fair share of twists and turns with Whyte leaving it late to sign the contract.

There were fears that Whyte may not agree to the deal at all as a result of the dispute over the purse split, which favours his opponent by 80-20.

However, Whyte decided to put pen to paper on the deadline day in February to confirm the box office bout.

Although, he hit the headlines just a couple of weeks later when he refused to attend a last-minute press conference with Fury because he didn’t get a proper invitation to the Wembley event.

It is also believed the pair have disagreed over image rights and ticket allocations among other problems.

As a result, Hearn said he was grateful to be taking a back seat when it comes to organising the highly-anticipated fight.

However, the promoter did share his thoughts on who he thinks will win the fight. Speaking to TalkSPORT, Hearn said: ‘Tyson Fury in my opinion doesn’t carry the power to take Dillian Whyte out.

‘I believe actually when they trade up left hooks Tyson Fury will go to sleep, and he will go to sleep in round 11.’

Hearn went on to explain the current situation between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk.

AJ is due to face Usyk for a second time this year after losing his WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO belts on a unanimous points decision in front of a sell-out crowd at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September last year.

Therefore, negotiations over their re-match has taken a backseat according to Hearn

However, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has delayed negotiations between AJ and Usyk. But, Hearn revealed Usyk’s promoter was going to speak with him on Tuesday.

He said: ‘No. I think Alex Krassyuk [Usyk’s promoter] said we’re gonna catch up today [Tuesday].

‘But I did think yesterday or the day before that Usyk actually would take the fight – that was kind of the vibe that I was getting again.

‘But now with Vasyl Lomachenko [opting to stay in Ukraine], I think it makes it more likely that he won’t.

‘But all we wanna say is, ‘We’ll give you the time, it’s no problem, but we want to fight in between. So that’s what we’ve gotta decide.’
