To much disappointment, the highly anticipated fight between Jake Paul vs Hasim Rahman Jr. has been called off, leaving boxing fans thoroughly upset. Notably, Paul and his promoter blamed Rahman Jr. for backing out of the fight. However, Rahman Jr. has come out to speak against these claims, clarifying his stance on the cancellation of the bout.

Rahman Jr. appeared in an interview with FightHype. While in conversation, he was asked if he weighed 215 lbs for the majority of his camp. In response, Rahman Jr. said, “215-214 is about the lowest that I got for this camp.”

However, he further added, “I mean 215 is not where I was for the majority of the camp. That’s as low as we got, 215-214 and a half was pretty much the lowest we got.”

Further, he was asked if he will be able to come in at 205 lbs by Friday. Rahman Jr. responded by saying, “I can make 205 Friday and I’ll knock Jake Paul out on Saturday. It’s not a problem, it’s never been an issue. The issue is them coming and giving us all these demands like they’ve been doing from the jump. They’ve been trying to railroad me with demands and trying to bully me.”

In fact, Rahman Jr. even claimed that he has evidence of the unreasonable demands made to him. And, that he strongly believes that his opportunity to fight was taken away from him.
