‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ replied, “I still think it’s, a… you know it’s a tremendous fight. It’s a phenomenal fight because he’s still there in those pound-for-pound rankings. But of course, it’s a bit tarnished now you know, because his aura of invincibility has diminished a bit, but you know more power to him.”

Usman talked described how Alvarez let the hype down of their potential fight when he lost in his last fight. The hype reached sky-high when both the fighters were at #1 spot for P4P in their respective sport.

Usman also elaborated some applause for Alvarez. He said, “ He’s a true champion, he’s one of the best boxers that we’ve seen. Especially in my generation so you know hats off to him.

The banter between Kamaru Usman and Canelo Alvarez

Kamaru Usman and Canelo Alvarez had a rift between them when both the athletes ranked at the #1 position in P4P rankings in their respective sports at the same time.

The beef started with a tweet by Ali Abdelaziz who has managed prominent UFC fighters like Khabib Nurmagomedov and Kamaru Usman.

Abdelaziz criticized Alvarez for picking up Dmitry Bivol instead of Usman as his opponent.

Alvarez didn’t ignore this tweet of Abdelaziz, and he gave a staggering reply thrashing Abdelaziz. He wrote, “who the f**k is this? 🤣🤣🥴”

Abdelaziz replied and he compared Alvarez and Kamaru Usman in his following tweet.

Even Usman couldn’t stop from commenting on Alvarez’s criticism on Abdelaziz, he tweeted a staggering reply to Alvarez which is when the actual banter between the fighters started.

Subsequently, both the athletes kept thrashing each other until Alvarez put up a tweet that indicated that both the fighters might have a brawl in the future.

The Mexican superstar seemed to accept the challenge but asked Usman to wait for his turn. Even though Alvarez held the #1 spot in the P4P rankings, he still felt that he has a lot more to achieve. Until then, Usman should wait.

Even Usman seemed interested in this challenge, and he took the beef to another level with a conclusive statement, He tweeted, “ Enough said… you don’t want that smoke in a real fight. I hear you! Good luck champ 👊🏿”
