Jake Paul is all set to face Hasim Rahman Jr. for an iconic showdown on August 6, 2022. Notably, Rahman Jr. also happens to be his former sparring partner. Paul recently opened up about sparring the ‘Sangre De Oro’.

Paul was talking at the presser ahead of his fight against Rahman Jr. In conversation, Rahman Jr’s father, Hasim Rahim, mentioned that Paul can face his brother after Rahman Jr. beats him inside the ring. Paul mentioned that he has already defeated him in a sparring session. He said, “I already beat his a*s in sparring too. And he knows that too. We got the footage.”

However, Rahman Jr. refuted his claim by stating that Paul only puts up the footage that he wants. Moreover, he also mentioned that there was footage of Paul running away from him inside the ring. He also added, “You put out what you want to put out. Content creator!”

Meanwhile, the host Ariel Helwani asked Paul about Rahman Jr’s statement that sparring is not fighting.

Paul responded by saying that if it wasn’t, then Rahman Jr. would bring it up often. He also mentioned, “Sparring isn’t fighting because you’re probably a little nervous about what will happen. Under the lights, 10 oz gloves of course is different. That’s why I do this sport, I don’t do this sport to spar, I do this sh*t to fight.”
