There is no limit to the talents of the Mercedes world champion, Lewis Hamilton. The Briton is more than just a racing driver, even though he is one of the best at that. The seven-time world champion also has a massively influential artistic side to him, which keeps bursting out time and again.

Hamilton uses multiple avenues to showcase his artistic side. Fashion being the most prominent outlet, the Briton also dabbles in the art of singing and songwriting. However, the art of cinema was something Hamilton hadn’t gotten tangled with, which also changed in 2015. Hugely successful and talented fan-friend of Hamilton, Owen Wilson helped him explore the cinematic avenue.

Owen Wilson got in touch with Hamilton after their encounter at the Malaysian GP and got him a movie role. Hence, the F1 icon made his first Hollywood appearance in Ben Stiller’s hotly anticipated Zoolander 2, which grossed almost $57 million worldwide.

Discussing his role and excitement, Hamilton said, “It was a scene set at a fashion show. Ben came to meet me when I arrived and I got to talk to him, and he was just so down-to-earth it was kind of strange. He was exactly like he is in the movies. I’m going to lose my sh*t when I see myself in a film with him.”

Hamilton’s likeability got him his first Hollywood role, but don’t take anything away from the quality of the man. He might not be the best actor out there, but the Mercedes man has a lot to offer to a movie, especially if the said film is about the traveling circus.

Lewis Hamilton is a value added to a multi-million dollar Apple movie project

Apple is bankrolling the biggest movie on Formula 1 and pulling the big guns to ensure its success. One thing Apple is already doing right is taking on Hamilton as a producer. As part of the producers, the veteran F1 racer will help the filmmakers with the ins and outs of F1.

Speaking about his role in the movie, Hamilton said, “I’ve spent like last six years, five years probably in Los Angeles, having meetings with a lot of different production companies. Trying to get a better understanding of the background or what’s happening, you know how to go about putting together a movie.”
