Kobe Bryant was drafted straight out of high school. Bryant was already famous in high school and after getting drafted, he made a name for himself. He appeared in commercials at the early age of 18. Even though the real support was yet to come, Bryant was a young and humble athlete.

Coming into the league as a young player, Bryant had to adapt not only to the game but also to the competition level among older players. It did take some time for him to adapt, but in the end, it was all worth it. ESPN uploaded some behind-the-scenes footage of Kobe taking a lesson on trash talking.

Talking trash excessively results in a technical in today’s game. Though in the 90s, it was part of the competition. While Kobe got a few free lessons from the ESPN employees. Bryant and Keyshawn Johnson were taught how to deal with referees and players talking rough. This was a hilarious ESPN commercial and fans to this date find these hilarious.

The ESPN employee questioned Bryant, on what he would do if Jordan comes up to him in his next game. Kobe simply said that he would wish MJ good luck.

The employee was furious and said, “You’re gonna say I told Michael I’m gonna take you to school!”. In reality, things didn’t go either way. Kobe and Jordan exchanged words every time they met for a game.

Bryant knew how to back his words

Michael once noticed Kobe wearing Jordans, playing against him. Michael said that he could wear his shoes, but can never fill them. Kobe was shocked after hearing that. But his ultimate answer was a 55 bomb in the next game against Jordan. Bryant was one of the players who would back up his words every time.
