Lando Norris is excited about his home race: the British Grand Prix! This legendary race is special to several fans and drivers alike. A lot of the current grid has many British drivers, including the majority of teams, who are British. Understandably, everyone on and off the grid is excited to go back ‘home’.

The Silverstone circuit first hosted an F1 race back in 1950. Since then, it has become a traditional and important racing jewel in the history of motorsports. Giving us several iconic moments, the Silverstone GP weekend is always important for announcements, breaking news, upgrades, and whatnot.

Norris, undoubtedly, is also a fan of this Grand Prix weekend. In a new Instagram story, he posted a picture of himself with a cheeky grin and wrote, “1 week till Silverstone!!! I’m so excited already. See you soon, ‘the best fans’ “. Clearly, like many others, Norris also can’t wait for the British Grand Prix.

A little about the track: the 5.891 km (3.66 miles) circuit is widely regarded as one of the fastest on the calendar. With overtaking slightly easier than the other tracks, things can get a little heated under pressure.

The drivers will have to conquer over 52 laps and maneuver famed corners like Maggotts, Becketts, and Abbey in order to finish the race. Above all, the forever energetic British crowd gives an unbeatable vibe to Silverstone.

What can Lando Norris do at Silverstone?

Lando Norris’s season has been going rather well till now. Although the latest Canadian GP was a race to forget for the youngster, he has still done brilliantly with 50 championship points (P7 in the driver’s table) after nine races.

Norris also gave us one of the most remarkable races this season as he finished P8 while suffering from tonsillitis. The 22-year-old couldn’t speak on the radio and looked worrying before the race. Despite that, he managed to beat the Spanish heat and claim four points for his team. Additionally, he stepped onto the podium at Imola.
