Gaby Lopez is a talented Mexican professional golfer. The pro golfer is closely associated with the LPGA. In recent times, Lopez won her third career LPGA Tour title at the Dana Open. She presented great skill and sportsmanship at the game.


Recently, Lopez shared a sweet message reminiscing her childhood memories with her mother. She talked about a word that her mother used to denote for her as a kid. She feels the word is empowering to women all around even now.

Recently, on the occasion of Hispanic heritage month, the Mexican pro golfer remembered sweet memories from her past that she uses to drive her actions. She told her fans about how her mother used to call her “Badass” as a kid. The word “badass” is called “Chingona” in Spanish, told Gaby.

She said, “It’s a funny word for badass in Spanish. My mom used to call me Chingona growing up all the time. When you’re that competitive, I think you want to remind yourself that you are a badass.”

She continued, “This word means you can accomplish things in hard situations.” She ended the interaction by reminding everyone listening to her that they can all be Chingona.

Gaby and her guide to staying grounded

Lopez is obviously a person who likes to acknowledge her past and learn from it. She said, “I like to journal a lot. I journal pretty much every day. I’m finishing up my third [journal], and have probably a total of 12. I like to see myself back when I was struggling.”

She added, “I like to question myself all the time.” Moreover, Gaby also likes to write. The Mexican pro golfer told that through her journey of journaling, she has discovered and tried to ground herself. She said, “I’m a writer. I love to write things down”
