ESL Gaming events are a spectacle in the eSports field. Their events attract a large audience from all around the world. Whether it’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or League of Legends, the community is always thrilled to be a part of the ESL tournaments. Surprisingly, in 2015, Mark Cuban had done something that had never been done on a platform before, especially in such an uncertain way.

Mark Cuban is one of the most renowned personalities in the world. Many would know him as the Owner of the NBA team Dallas Mavericks, while some Shark Tank fans would recognize him in no time. Surprisingly, he had once made an ESL event memorable by breaking the rule in a heartwarming way.

During a League of Legends match in November 2015, Mark dropped an F-bomb. This happened when he was playing his match against Intel CEO Brian Krzanich’s team, at the Intel Extreme Masters San Jose. Consequently, he was fined a hefty price for his violation. But there was something that inspired the Mavericks Owner to repeat it. And impose an even heavier fine on himself.

Mark Cuban enlightened the League of Legends show with a lavish contribution to charity

In a post-match interview, the interviewer informed Mark about a violation he did while competing in the event. During the League of Legends match, he accidentally dropped an F-bomb, entitling him to pay $15,000 for breaking the rules and regulations of the event.

Suddenly, something struck the mind that made him wonder for a while. After getting to know that the fined money would be going to a good cause. Moreover, the money was later to be transferred to CyberSmile Foundation, which works to eradicate cyberbullying. Being a ‘shark’ investor, he saw this as an opportunity rather than a punishment.

Therefore, after knowing this, he doubled his F-bomb count and increased the fine to $30,000. He asked the interviewer, “So if I say it again I have to pay another 15k”. After getting a green light on the question, he said, “F*** it.” Thereby, not only doubling his fine, but also his contribution to a good cause.

Hence, this throwback defines the interesting style of the Dallas Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban for donating a huge amount of money to charity. Also, this proves that when it comes to charity, some rules can be broken for its overall welfare. Above all, it was a remarkable day for the League of Legends fans, as no one had seen such a heartwarming sight before.
