In the most Sebastian Vettel move, the German joined social media platform Instagram to announce his retirement. Vettel uploaded the retirement posts twice, once in English and the other in German. Following his announcement, a slew of retirement wishes from all across the globe flooded all social media platforms.

The German will leave the sport after 16 incredible years with his name forever etched into the sport’s history. Vettel has created a legacy of his own in these 16 years of racing, but most will remember Vettel’s career for different reasons. After the retirement news, a host of F1 personalities recalled their most notable memory of Vettel’s career.

Reigning world champion, Max Verstappen, is among the list of those F1 personalities. Ahead of the Hungarian GP, drivers were asked to pick one of the most notable memories from Vettel’s legacy.

The Red Bull man made a hilarious admission and said, “His hair! It grew back magically! I like that, I wish I had that…”

Vettel’s receding hairline was on display initially during the 2021 pre-season testing. However, Vettel’s hairline did not become a topic of long discussion and he was sporting a full head of hair before the start of the 2022 season.

However, on a serious note, there’s more to Vettel’s legacy than his hairline comeback, as pointed out by Verstappen.

In a career stretching 16 years, there are a plethora of things to remember Vettel by. However, the first memory that comes to mind regarding his legacy is his time at Red Bull.

His stint at Red bull was the most successful and notable stint of his career. Vettel won his first world champion in his second season with Red Bull. With the 2010 world championship win, Vettel also became the youngest driver to do so, a record that’s still intact. Vettel won his championship title at 23 years and 133 days.

To put things in perspective, Max Verstappen won his first championship at 24 years and 73 days old. Verstappen sits fourth on the list of the youngest world champions.
