Paul Pogba has underlined he has still to decide his next move despite expectation he will leave Manchester United as a free agent this summer.

Pogba, who at 29 became the youngest player to reach 90 caps for France on Friday, said: ‘Nothing is decided on my future, nothing is done. I can decide tomorrow, just as I can decide during the transfer window. I want to bounce back and finish the season well.’

Paris St Germain and Juventus are among the clubs keen on Pogba but whether they can offer the wages he wants will be decisive, while remaining at United has yet to be ruled out.

Pogba though has been frustrated during his time at United, failing to compete for the titles he had envisaged when re-joining the club from Juventus for £89m in 2016.

He has struggled to hide his disappointment at United’s results and told French TV programme Telefoot: ‘The season is not over yet, but almost because we don’t have any more titles to play for.

‘I want to win titles, to play for something and this year and the last few years we haven’t won a title. It’s sad.

‘Totally [playing for France is a breath of fresh air]. That’s the truth. There were difficult moments at United and I needed this break to regain my energy and confidence.

‘Sometimes when I wasn’t playing or the results weren’t good, coming here, it gives a boost, a breath of air that also helps me to come back well to my club.’

Pogba is one of five players out of contract with United this summer. Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani are all preparing to join new clubs while goalkeeper Lee Grant could be offered a coaching role.

United are continuing the process of finding a new manager and that choice will also have a bearing on the decisions of those players.

Ajax boss Erik ten Hag, 52, has been interviewed and is awaiting an offer amid interest from other clubs in England and Germany with Borussia Dortmund understood to be one.

Paris St Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino, 50, remains a popular candidate among United’s playing squad.
