Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly pestered Vinicius Junior for the last seven months, frequently asking the Brazilian not to renew his contract at Real Madrid.

Vinicius, 21, has two years left to run on his current deal at the Bernabeu, but his performances last season have led to interest from around Europe.

The forward contributed 22 goals and 20 assists in all competitions and scored the only goal of the game as Los Blancos defeated Liverpool in the Champions League final.

According to Marca, PSG have been in constant communication with Vinicius since November 2021 and have been urging him not to sign a new deal in Madrid.

It is claimed that the French side offered the forward an eye-watering £34.3million-a-year salary – a figure that Real Madrid would not be able to get anywhere close to – as well as a ‘generous bonus’ and ‘business opportunities in Qatar’.

However, Vinicius has reportedly always been keen to stay at the Bernabeu and is expected to sign a new contract until 2026 or 2027 worth around £8.6million per year.

Marca’s report adds that Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been rebuffed by the 21-year-old in recent months.

The Spanish outlet have previously reported that his new contract in Madrid will include an £870million release clause, which is intended to warn off state-backed clubs such as PSG and Newcastle United.

The news comes after Real Madrid president Florentino Perez touted Vinicius as a future Ballon d’Or winner in an interview with El Chiringuito (via Marca).

‘Nobody wants to sell Vinicius,’ Perez said. ‘I think he’s going to be the Ballon d’Or for sure, like Benzema is going to be now. I think he will be amazing. The 18-year-old boy who came to Castilla, he is not the one we know now. Every year he improves.

‘Are there problems renewing Vinicius? None. He always says that he will not move from Madrid.’
