All of those who missed the controversial incident between Ross Chastain and Denny Hamlin at Gateway in June, don’t worry, the Trackhouse Racing driver had recreated the replica of the moment he spun Hamlin out, this time in Atlanta.
Yes, Chastain did it again.
Towards the end of the race at Atlanta, Chastain, in his element, ended up clipping the Joe Gibbs Racing driver’s rear and spun him out, leading to a caution.

It’s worth noting that earlier in the race, the #1 was also responsible for two separate incidents, including a big one involving drivers like Austin Dillon, Kyle Larson, Joey Logano, etc., and one minor incident involving Aric Almirola.
But without a doubt, the one that’ll get the most attention and criticism will be the one involving Hamlin, for very obvious reasons.

Denny Hamlin has had enough of Ross Chastain
In their post-race interview, both Ross Chastain and Denny Hamlin pretty much took the route about their views on the incident that was expected of them.
The Trackhouse Racing driver admitted that along with the effects of the damage that he incurred earlier in the race, it was his fault for what happened with Hamlin.
“It was totally my fault with the 11. I had damage from earlier, got tight and it just went up the hill,” Chastain admitted.
On the other hand, Denny Hamlin felt it was yet another “unfortunate circumstance” for Chastain, what happened. When questioned whether the #1 driver be able to win or at least, challenge for the championship with the way he’s driving, Hamlin chose not to judge the other driver.
Instead, he took the opportunity to perhaps suggest where he is with Chastain mentally.
“Everyone has their different tolerance levels … I’ve reached my peak,” Hamlin said.
