The Golden State Warriors proved all their haters and doubters wrong as they won the NBA title for the 2021-22 season. Stephen Curry had a huge role to play as their team won the series against the Boston Celtics.

Despite putting in phenomenal performances, Curry’s defensive contributions were ridiculed by fans and analysts alike. However, he answered them aptly as Curry added another title and a Finals MVP award to his impressive resume.

Interestingly enough, during an interview regarding his involvement in the ESPY awards, Curry was asked about his defensive abilities. He held nothing back as Curry roasted analysts who bash him unnecessarily. Moreover, he set the records straight regarding his involvement in the game.

Curry said, “You can’t compare me to the all defensive team guys. I’m never going to be on that level, but I try to be as well-rounded as possible.”

How did Stephen Curry perform this season?

The Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry entered the 2021-22 season with a point to prove. The team faced heartbreaks since the 2019 finals when the Raptors got the better of them. Injuries played a major role in the downfall of the Warriors.

However, the team bounced back in perfect fashion. The Dubs looked like strong contenders to win the title since the regular season and although Curry was out with an injury; the team coped without him.
