‘The Classiest Man’ – South African Comedian Trevor Noah Thanks Roger Federer for Being the Ultimate Host

Swiss tennis is synonymous with Roger Federer. Such has been the greatness of the 20-times Grand Slam champion, that he has enthralled tennis fans over the years. Further, his incredible displays on the tennis court have caught everyone’s eyes. Additionally, his attacking gameplay and single-handed backhands have been among the best in tennis history.

Recently, the South African comedian, Trevor Noah was in Switzerland for his Back to Abnormal World Tour. During his Swiss trip, Trevor spent quality time with Federer. Subsequently, he opened up about visiting Switzerland and meeting Federer.

Trevor Noah grateful to Roger Federer

Describing his Switzerland trip, Trevor Noah took to Instagram and shared a post on his official Instagram handle. He said, “Switzerland what a surreal experience this was for me. I’ve always dreamed of visiting my father’s country but never dreamed I would do it like this. Thank you to every single person who came and filled out both arenas in Geneva and Zurich I’ll never forget the experience.”

Further, he added, “Geneva, thank for your fine taste in watch making and your gorgeous lake. Truly one of the most peaceful cities I’ve been to in the world. Zurich thank you for the phenomenal fondue, and your silent but deadly trains.”

Thanking Federer for making his Swiss trip memorable, he said, “And last but not least thank you to my fellow half Swiss half South African @rogerfederer. You were the ultimate host, the best tour guide and still the classiest man I’ve ever met. I know you miss me on the court but hopefully you’ll be able to play on in my honour now that my knee is out of commission.”

Federer aims to come back stronger

On the tennis front, Federer hasn’t played a competitive match since his quarter-finals defeat at Wimbledon, last year. Of late, Federer is back to light training ahead of his potential come back later this year. He has already confirmed his participation at the Laver Cup and the Swiss Indoors in Basel.
