The 1-time major winning champion, Bryson DeChambeau, has been out of his form for most of the season of 2021-2022, due to multiple injuries. However, the latest video of him practicing proves he is back to his power hitting.
The 28-year-old will tee up at the 150th Open Championship at the Old Course, St. Andrews. And the golfer can be seen covering 345 yards with 195 mph ball speed with his tee shot in a Twitter video.

DeChambeau missed most of the tournaments this season because of his wrist and hip injuries. Notably, he revealed that he wouldn’t be able to play with his full strength when he attended the Golf World Championship Dell Match Play this year.
Furthermore, he underwent surgery for his wrist after the Masters and returned two months after at the Memorial Tournament. “It just didn’t feel like the old me of 2018 like I used to,” DeChambeau said after not making the event.
Notably, he is known for his power-hitting. He once covered 480 yards during a match in 2021. By covering 345 yards, the new video on Twitter shows that he is back in his form.
Fans’ reaction to Bryson DeChambeau and his swing
Dechambeau is one of the most controversial golfers on the Tour. From not congratulating a fellow golfer to slow play, the fans have not been impressed with him for a lot of reasons throughout his career.

On top of that, he joined the LIV Golf and played in its second event in Portland. And fans were not happy with his decision. The PGA-LIV golf rivalry is still hot and him joining the rival series irked out many fans. Fans expressed their feeling through the comments on the Twitter video.

DeChambeau didn’t make the cut in the three out of four events he last played. So, although many were impressed with his swing, they didn’t think he would finish playing all rounds at the Old Course.
