Would you like to race on a Mario Kart to glory? Turns out Universal Studios is going to make that fan dream come true by early next year! According to some of the latest official tweets, Super Nintendo World is going to commence in early 2023 and will also come with a Mario Kart-themed ride. Mario Kart fans can now get ready to experience the thrill of Mario-style go-karting in real life!

Mario Kart is, undoubtedly, one of the most popular Mario series featuring go-kart races, iconic characters, challenges and more. With a Nintendo-based area opening in the US next year, the officials couldn’t miss out on adding a touch of Mario Kart to the already much-anticipated experience.

As it happens, the Super Nintendo World in Japan also has a Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge. Moreover, Universal Studios Japan has also confirmed a new Donkey Kong expansion, scheduled to arrive in 2024. Universal Studio Japan’s Super Nintendo World was the first of its kind, followed by the upcoming experience in Los Angeles, California. 

Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge is coming to the US

A day ago, Universal Studios Hollywood proudly revealed on Twitter about the upcoming Nintendo World and the inclusion of the Mario Kart experience. The tweet also included a small glimpse at what the experience will feel like. 

The upcoming Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge will let fans experience iconic Mario race courses alongside beloved characters like Mario, Princess Peach, and Luigi. Participants will get to put on special goggles and battle Team Bowser.

“Collect coins and throw shells to win the Golden Cup on the world’s first interactive Mario Kart ride with cutting-edge technology at SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™.” Universal Studios Hollywood further elaborated.

The Super Nintendo World at Hollywood will also include other imaginative and interactive areas. In addition, the much-anticipated Nintendo-based area will come with themed shopping and dining experiences.

At present, a Feature Presentation Store is open at the Park where fans can get hold of exciting merchandise too! 

Orlando may see the next Super Nintendo World

Apart from Japan and Hollywood, a Super Nintendo World was also announced for Orlando’s Epic Universe park. However, Universal Studios delayed its opening to 2025 after the pandemic struck. As of now, the United States’ first Nintendo World will open in Los Angeles early next year. Universal Studios also revealed plans for an upcoming world in Singapore as well. The Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge will obviously be a center of attraction in the upcoming Nintendo area. However, we do expect Universal Studios Hollywood to come up with more areas, as is also stated on the official website. Super Nintendo World will definitely not just be limited to just Mario Kart.
