Imagine F1 drivers driving through the streets of Gotham City! Yes, you read it right. Or the other way around. Imagine a situation where The Batman overtakes Max Verstappen near Wayne Manor. Imagine a one-on-one tussle between The Batman and Lewis Hamilton at the Blackgate Penitentiary.

Envisage the situation where The Batman speeds past using the slipstream given by Charles Leclerc at turn 1 of Baku, Azerbaijan. Is all this possible? Perhaps yes. When the Lego Batman takes over the F1 world, who knows what might be possible?

Talking about Batman in a recent podcast, the man behind the mask finally revealed his Formula 1 secrets. When asked by a fan about the contract of Batman on the Fast & Loose: F1 podcast on Spotify, Batman shared, “Not a lot of people know this, but I’m actually a reserve driver for all the teams!”

Well, the Batman here is the Canadian-American actor, voice actor, comedian and producer, Will Arnett.

Arnett is also the co-host of the F1 podcast Fast & Loose: F1.

How did the masked Batman grow interested in F1?

Arnett has collaborated with Formula 1 and Amp, Amazon’s live radio app, to start a project where F1 fans can connect directly with the actor. The 52-year-old actor hosts the Fast & Loose: F1 podcast along with sports anchor Michelle Beadle and comedian The Kid Mero.

Talking about his interest in F1, Arnett stated in a report published by The People, “Like many other Americans, I have recently become obsessed with Formula 1. They wouldn’t let me drive the cars, so instead, I’ll be taking calls live from the sidelines.”

I’m so excited to start on my true path in life – sports commentary – and with some great talent beside me, we’re getting into all things Formula 1 with humor, love for the sport, and of course, some hot takes,” concluded the Lego Batman voice artist.
