In the end, it was the defending champion who prevailed. Yesterday, Novak Djokovic defeated Nick Kyrgios in the final to win the Wimbledon Championships 2022. Further, the Serb put on a scintillating display to get the better of his Australian opponent. In the process, he won his 21st Grand Slam title, overtaking his long-term rival, Roger Federer.

However, he was up against the best returner in men’s tennis, dishing out some excellent returns on Kyrgios’ big serves. After the match, Djokovic’s coach, Goran Ivanisevic, had words of praise for Kyrgios.
