BBC BREAKFAST’S Carol Kirkwood shared an emotional tribute to her fellow co-star ahead of their show exit.
The weather presenter, 60, bid farewell to colleague Mark Murphy as he leaves his breakfast show on BBC Suffolk.
Carol praised her co-star for being a “superstar” and wished him well on the next stage of his career.
She tweeted: “Just want to wish my lovely colleague @MarkGlennMurphy on @BBCSuffolk all the very best!
“You are such a superstar! And just think….no more 3am alarm calls!! Take care Mark.”
Mark, who was made an MBE in the New Year Honours list 2022, was a multi award-winning presenter and producer at the BBC.
He said he was “truly stunned” to be made an MBE following his dedicated work with charities.
It comes after BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty made a BRUTAL swipe at Carol’s outfit last week.
The weather woman presented her reports live from Ascot Racecourse.
Carol decided to get into the spirit of things and rocked a number of different hats on the BBC morning show.

After her first appearance, Charlie Stayt, 59, joked that her first choice looked like a satellite dish.
But the swipes didn’t stop there.
After Carol’s final report Naga asked where her fourth hat was, but she confessed that she decided to stick with three because “less is more”.
As the TV favourite proudly showed off the back of her hat, Naga, 47, brutally said: “Aw I always think the back of your head looks much better!”
A stunned Carol turned around and pulled front bit of her hat down to cover face.
She replied: “Ha! I know. I can do that for you as well, just get rid of my face!”
Naga was left in hysterics as the camera went back to the studio.
She confessed: “Carol, I love you! I’m scared when I see you next…
“It is beautiful, it is absolutely stunning.”
