His career continues to go from strength to strength with acting, presenting and film roles.

And Cameron Daddo, 57, told The Daily Telegraph’s Health Hacker on Sunday that retirement is the furthest thing from his mind.

‘I’ve always felt the need to stay physically fit to do my job as an actor and I intend to be one of those actors that keep acting to the age of 90 as I love it so much,’ he said

Cameron, who has appeared on Home and Away and spent over two decades working as an actor in Hollywood, also revealed his approach to health and fitness.

‘It’s important to keep the mind sharp and eat good brain foods,’ he said.

‘I eat in moderation, and I pay attention to what I eat. I do like to eat fish and chips, fried food, burgers and pizza but I eat them in moderation.’

Cameron has always been candid about life as an actor, and previously revealed that he had to start his career over upon moving back to Australia in 2017. 

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph in 2020, he said: ‘I’d rather not have to start again but I understand why I needed to because generations have passed since I left.

He added, ‘We were gone 25 years so there’s a whole lot of people who have no clue who I am.

‘And there’s a whole lot of people who remember me, but because I’m 25 years older, I look different. I am different. I’m a 50-year-old man now.’

That same year, Cameron took a surprising new step in his career by joining the cast of long-running soap Home and Away in the role of Evan Slater.

Also in 2020, Cameron reflected on moving back to Australia three years prior with his wife, Alison Brahe, and their three children.

Sharing a black and white photo of his family to Instagram, the actor said that he finds ‘the deepest feelings of love’ when he steps outside of his comfort zone.

‘Three years ago on this day, we’d recovered from saying goodbye to our family and friends in the USA,’ Cameron wrote in the caption.

‘We’d had an eventful stop-gap in Fiji that included hospital drips, tsunami warnings and food poisoning. We’d picked up Dobby [their dog] from quarantine, loaded the car and trailer and set off on our new life in Oz.’

Cameron added that embracing change has made him a kinder person and filled him with gratitude.

‘The more I experience in my life, the more I am reminded how I look for places to be comfortable, and yet it’s the places where I am most uncomfortable where I find the deepest feelings of love, kindness and gratitude,’ he wrote.

Cameron and Alison, who marred in 1991, share three children: daughters Lotus, 26, and Bodhi Faith, 16, and son River, 22.

The couple had moved to Los Angeles in 1992, where Cameron landed small roles in shows such as Models Inc. and The Mentalist.
