Christine Lampard was in good spirits as she sat in the stands of Goodison Park stadium to support her football manager husband Frank as his team Everton triumphed 4-1 against Brentford on Saturday.

The television presenter, 43, could be seen smiling for a selfie with a friend after taking their seat ahead of the game, the first match with Frank, also 43, in charge after he was appointed as Everton boss last month.

Christine wore a white winter coat with black lapels and looked glamorous after opting for lashings of make-up for the occasion.

The broadcaster sat alongside her pal who wore a black and white checked shawl and a bobble hat, while she had a blue blanket on her lap to keep warm during the game.

During the game, the pair chatted and laughed as they watched the action among the other supporters at the stadium in the Walton area of Liverpool.

Everton beat Brentford 4-1 in the FA Cup fourth round which was Frank’s debut, with the former player punching the sky in celebration and jumping for joy after their win.

Frank received a huge ovation as he was introduced to the Goodison crowds before kick-off, with fans chanting ‘Super Frankie Lampard’ as the feel-good factor returned after a difficult period under past manager Rafa Benitez, 61, which ended in his sacking a fortnight ago.

Former Chelsea manager Frank was confirmed as Everton boss last month, with the sportsman saying: ‘I’m ready to work and I’m excited.’

Sharing a picture of Frank holding a blue Everton shirt on Instagram after the announcement was made earlier this week, Christine wrote: ‘Here we go Super Frank! @franklampard @everton #everton.’

It comes after Christine celebrated her 43rd birthday this week, with the star taking to Instagram to share some snaps of the gifts she’d been showered with.

She posted pictures of an elaborate celebration cake and a number of beautiful bouquets of flowers in her impressive kitchen at her £10million house.

Returning home after hosting Loose Women earlier in the day, she captioned her pictures: ‘Feeling a lot of birthday love today. Thank you all so much for your messages.’
