Memorial scholarship established

Batavia High School announced a memorial scholarship in Clint’s name that will be administered by the school’s wrestling program.

“The Clint Arlis Wrestling Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honor the life and legacy of one of Batavia High School Wrestling Program’s All-Time greats, 2005 graduate, Clint Arlis,” reads the scholarship’s description on its GoFundMe page.

“An annual scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Senior who competed steadfastly in wrestling throughout their high school career.

“While pursuing his career in architecture, he’s always made a priority of coming back to the Batavia Wrestling Room and generously giving back to the kids.

“His legacy as a fierce competitor, tireless worker, a caring influence to younger Batavia wrestlers, a devoted friend and a loving son and brother will resonate far beyond his days in our presence.”
