COLEEN Rooney has suffered another huge blow in her Wagatha Christie battle with Becky Vardy – after being handed a huge £200,000 legal bill.

The WAG was hit with the additional cost after being forced to stump up £65,000 to cover the costs from Becky’s agent and pal Caroline Watt who she had wanted to add to her lawsuit.

Coleen, wife of Derby County boss Wayne, will now be forced to pay over £250,000 to her rival and Caroline after she lost the latest round in their legal wrangle on Monday.

A source said: “As if losing this latest round of the legal battle and having to pay almost £70,000 to cover Caroline’s legal fees wasn’t bad enough, Coleen has now been stuck with another massive bill.

“As part of the ruling she is having to cover twenty percent of Becky’s legal bill from this hearing which is at least £200,000

“It means she will be forking out a quarter of a million pounds.

“The spiralling legal costs in this case are grotesque and it is painful for everyone around Coleen to see it, let alone her having to fork out the cash.”

It was ruled on Monday that Coleen, 35, would not be able to add Caroline to her lawsuit for misuse of her private information.

Coleen’s application to London’s High Court followed the disclosure of text messages between Becky, 39, and Caroline where Coleen was called a “nasty b****” and a “c***”.

It was also claimed Becky and Caroline discussed a potential cover-up if it ever became “undeniably obvious” they were behind leaks to the Press back in 2019.

Mrs Justice Steyn dismissed Coleen’s application and said in a stinging rebuke that delaying the trial would not be fair on Becky.

Becky, wife of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, is suing Coleen for libel after she accused her of leaking stories to the media in her now famous Wagatha Christie tweet.

Their trial is expected to go ahead in May.
