DANCING On Ice was plunged into a new fix row as fans claimed the show as a ‘popularity contest’ after Ria Hebden got sent home over Bez.
The TV presenter became the latest celeb to be kicked off the show after losing a skate-off to Rachel Stevens.
Fans took to Twitter last night furious Ria had been sent home over Bez, who famously became the first ever Dancing on Ice star to wear a crash helmet for his own safety.
One said: “Like all the other voting shows, it’s a popularity competition!”
A Third chimed in: “The integrity of Dancing on Ice has gone right down the toilet. Bez being voted through. It’s a joke.”
A third chimed in: “Bez is just there for comedy value,” adding: “Sorry. People who can dance are being voted out. #Lorraine – where are you? Poor Ria.”
Another added: “Aw such a shame for Ria though – she seems so lovely and that smile! Not the season for her ability to leave so early.”
Viewers also had plenty to say about the judges unanimously voting to save S Club 7 star Rachel over Ria.
One Tweeted: “Absolutely ridiculous result tonight. What is happening on this programme?
“Ria can actually skate and Rachel held on and was pulled around the ice. Results like that put people off watching.”
A second echoed: “#DancingOnIce judges should be ashamed. Ria danced unaided, Rachel permanently in hold.”
