DEATH in Paradise star Ralf Little has revealed the terrifying moment a gruesome foot-long centipede made its way onto the drama series’ set.
The flesh-eating intruder – which according to the actor is called a scolopendra – is absolutely terrifying to look at, and left not only Ralf, but the whole cast and crew scared to return to the set.

DI Neville Parker star Ralf revealed the hilarious story in an interview with Ronan Keating during the Thursday episode of The One Show.
The actor, 41, had been invited on the chat show to discuss the brand new 11th series of Death in Paradise.
Fans of the show can look forward to Neville’s love life developing as he previously tried to start a romance with Florence Cassell (played by Josephine Jobert).
The first episode of the latest series aired on Friday, as the show picked things back up on the fictional island of Saint Marie.
However, the star discussed a whole lot more than plotlines during his interview, leaving 44-year-old presenter Ronan gobsmacked after detailing the horrid ordeal of the foot-long creature’s unwelcome visit.
Back during season nine’s filming, Ralf explained that the gigantic centipede – thought to be one of the world’s largest – made its way onto the set, which is based in the Caribbean.
Ronan asked the star: “Ralf, we have been talking about the brand new season of Death In Paradise.

“Now over the years the wildlife has created some problems during filming – tell me about it?”
The actor then told the tale of the “carnivorous” centipede, explaining: “So there’s a thing called a Guadalupe and I guess in the Caribbean it’s called a scolopendra which I guess is basically a carnivorous meat-eating centipede and they give you a nasty nip.”
Ralf continued: “They are not going to put you in hospital or anything, but you’d know about it if you saw one.”
“You’d be like, ‘Ah! get rid of it’.
“But about one week before I arrived in the middle of series nine there was an incident that I’ve seen on camera and it’s become legendary among the Death In Paradise crew.”
He added that the crew were all in the middle of filming a scene when a camera operator started screaming, after he saw the gigantic creature crawling down a pole.
“It was just winding down the flag pole and everybody just went, ‘Let’s just take five minutes to have a break’, as no-one was brave enough to get rid of it”, Ralf concluded.
