DOCTOR Who fans have been left rather unsatisfied as the BBC posts its latest look at the upcoming Easter special episode.
Avid viewers having been waiting in anticipation of more information on the episode titled Legends of the Sea Devils.

An official air date is yet to be confirmed, but with it expected to be broadcast over the Easter weekend, April 17th has been pencilled in by the show’s followers.
The broadcaster posted three shots showing the titular monsters, The Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) and Yasmin Khan (Mandip Gill) in oriental-style outfits, and legendary pirate Zheng Yi Sao (Crystal Yu), aka Madame Ching.
But one dismayed fan responded on Twitter: “Stayed up til midnight for photos I’ve already seen”.
Another ranted: “3 weeks from transmission and they release 3 pics that have already been published in a magazine and they give no transmission date or time ….f***ing ludicrous.”
“Seriously? Three photos we’ve seen before? At the very least you could give a release date. Seriously, you guys need to update your marketing books,” complained a third.
There’s a huge amount of excitement around the episode as it also marks the beginning of the end of Whittaker’s Doctor.
It will be the penultimate episode before she hands over the baton, with the identity of the next doctor still under wraps, with the rumour mill currently in overdrive with potential recruits.
The Sun recently revealed that any replacement new doctor will hardly appear in the show when it returns in 2023.

Instead, it is set to play host to a string of former time lords in a series of specials marking the series’ 60th birthday.
As the rumour mill has already suggested, that’s likely to see Jodie pass the baton to David Tennant, but it could also see a comeback by Matt Smith, Christopher Eccleston and Peter Capaldi.
It’s a dream scenario for megafan and showrunner Russell T Davies, who is eager for a repeat of 1983’s feature-length 20th anniversary special, The Five Doctors – which starred a quintet of ex-time lords.
A TV insider said: “The BBC wanted something unique to mark six decades of Doctor Who and while getting all the former time lords together will be a challenge, it’s one Russell might just achieve.
“After all, he was the man responsible for signing up Christopher and David back in 2005, and he is one of the few people who might convince them to be a part of the show again.
“It remains to be seen if he can achieve an exact copy of The Five Doctors, but he will certainly want to capture some of the spirit of that landmark episode in these specials.”
