Dua, who played her final UK show of the tour in London last night, said: “I had laryngitis in December and that kind of kickstarted me quitting smoking a month earlier than I was supposed to.

“But I did it and I have stuck to it.

“I have this habit tracker on my phone where every night I tick off all the good things I have done for my body and things I have done for myself.”

She said she now feels “invincible” on stage after her health makeover, which has included splashing out on a yoga instructor to join her on the road, as I revealed last week.

She told the latest episode of her At Your Service podcast: “I feel like when I get up on stage there is a different kind of confidence and, you know, I feel very invincible at times when I am performing.

“I feel so excited and there is a lot of adrenaline – and sometimes I don’t feel confident at all.”

“There are moments when I am on stage every night and, yeah I am quite exposed, and I am dancing and performing and I feel like I have to work out and stay really healthy in order to feel good about myself.

“So I only like to do things that make me feel good and that also helps with my confidence.”

Yesterday she released her track Hold My Hand, from Top Gun: Maverick, which will hit cinemas on May 27, 36 years on from the 1986 original.

The power ballad shot straight to No2 on the iTunes chart, just behind Harry Styles’ hit As It Was.

Gaga said: “I wrote the song for the incredible movie Top Gun: Maverick but also for people who feel like they’re not gonna be OK or we are never gonna be OK.

“Life taught me through hard times to have faith in humanity when it’s hard to have faith in yourself.

“When you feel lonely, sad, removed from the world, far away from yourself and others, Hold My Hand.

“One day you may even be strong enough to hold your own.

“I love you with my whole heart for all the years I’ve been blessed to sing, write songs, produce and perform for you.”

In the Premier League

RACHEL McAdams and Hayley Atwell led the glamour at the red carpet premiere of Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness in Los Angeles.

The film hits cinemas tomorrow and stars Rachel – who wore this sheer yellow gown – as Christine Palmer, while Hayley makes a short appearance as Peggy Carter.

Leading man Benedict Cumberbatch was so keen to catch it on the big screen he sprinted towards the red carpet.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness (12A, 126mins)

THERE’S little that annoys me more in film than a dream sequence.

So the first few minutes of the second offering of Marvel’s Doctor Strange made me embed my nails in my palms.

And there they stayed for over two hours.

This chaotic, frustrating and often dull film again stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the lead, with Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch.

She is obsessed with being a stay-at-home mum to her two boys, which we have previously been told don’t exist.

Wanda needs newbie America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) to take her to a time when she was happier.
America can jump between realities, and Doctor Strange decides to protect her from the evil Wanda.

I felt zero affection for America – a badly written, one- dimensional character – so the hectic pursuit of her feels meaningless.

The only interesting thing about America is she wears a transgender badge and has gay mothers – a flashback that is crowbarred into the storyline.

Director Sam Raimi brings supernatural spookiness, with Wanda going full Carrie at one point.

There are plenty of cameos to please superfans, but this disjointed and unconvincing turn from Cumberbatch buckles under the weight of its loose and often lazy storyline.

Wrangle over Brit fortune

BRITNEY Spears only managed to gain her financial independence from her family a few months ago following years of her conservatorship.

But now it has been claimed that her fiancé Sam Asghari has an eye on her bank account, as they thrash out the finer points of their prenuptial agreement.

According to American showbiz magazine Us Weekly, the actor wants his share of a potential financial settlement to increase for every five years they are married.

Britney, pregnant with the couple’s child, is said to be “staying out” of the process and focusing on their upcoming wedding.

A source said: “The talks have been taking longer than usual. Sam wants substantial increases for every five years they are married, should it end.”

Fans have expressed their concern at the news on social media but a second source insisted the discussions are “respectable” and are taking place so that Sam “doesn’t end up penniless if they separate”.

Britney, who is writing a tell-all book about her life, is believed to be worth up to £56million.

So whatever happens with Sam, I doubt he will ever be without a fair few quid in his pocket.
