Nina Lucas kidnaps girlfriend Asha Alahan

In an upcoming episode of Coronation Street, scheduled to air next week, Asha confides that she wants to apply to Glasgow University but her father Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) is surprised to find out that she’s having second thoughts.

Asha is then handed a guide book for Glasgow by her father Dev, headed to Daniel’s flat to take a look at a leaky sink.

The prospectus is spotted in Asha’s bag by Nina.

But while she may have expected a harsh reaction from her, Asha is pleased to see that Nina encourages her to enjoy a day out in Glasgow, putting on a brave face.

However, Nina is overcome with an irrational fear upon hearing that there are floods to be expected in Glasgow and shares her worries over Asha’s train journey with Roy.

It soon becomes clear that Nina’s fears are more than separation anxiety as Nina is genuinely frightened for Asha’s safety.

Yet in her concern, Nina turns to an unexpected extreme when Asha calls in at the café to see her before setting off to Glasgow.

Soon, Asha is shocked beyond belief to see that Nina has pocketed her phone but it soon becomes too late.

Nina refuses to let her go to Scotland and quickly locks the café door to stop her from leaving.
