1. Kelly takes a stand
Drama picks up another pace this week in the ITV soap following the events that shaped Imran (played by Charlie De Melo) and Abi’s (Sally Carman) custody battle.
After bribing private investigator Ben, getting him to lie in court about the mechanic’s drug relapse, the solicitor received custody of baby Alfie.
Unluckily for him, wayward teen Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) has been onto him.
Coming up, Kelly rightfully accuses Imran of lying in court and the truth brings back feelings of guilt for the latter.
Initially introduced to viewers as a hero, Imran doesn’t like the man he has become as he becomes increasingly aware that he’s destroying Abi.
Awash with guilt, he makes the decision to come clean to both the court and his wife Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor).

2. Car crash horror for Toyah and Imran
Emotions are boiling as Imran honourable nature seeps through for the first time in weeks but in jaw-dropping flash-forward scenes, Imran and Toyah are set for more tragedy.
As he decides to do what’s right, the solicitor is seen leaving a chilling message for his wife in which he confesses to everything.

Much like her other half, Toyah is willing to take the high road and urges Imran to go to the police.
On their way there, however, things take a turn and the pair are involved in a horrible car crash which leaves them both laying unconscious in the wreckage.

3. Toyah fights for her life
As mentioned above, the couple are in for a literal shock but Imran is the first on the scene to take action.
Things don’t look good for either of them but Toyah is the one to seemingly suffer the most damage.
A desperate Imran pulls his wife out of the vehicle, begging her not to die.
The ambulance arrives at the crash scene – but will Toyah make it?

4. Kevin helps Abi flee
Meanwhile, Abi is still ready to follow through with her plan to leave the cobbles and take Alfie with her.
As ITV viewers may already know, the mechanic has picked Costa Rica as safe haven for her to start afresh with her baby.
After admitting his feelings for her, her estranged husband Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) decides to let her roam free and away from Weatherfield.
He had the choice to grass on Abi but, instead, decides to help her getting some advice from his sister Debbie (Sue Devaney).
But, soon enough, word of Toyah and Imran’s accident gets round to the pair – and a police investigation turns Abi’s plan on its head.

5. Abi is questioned by police
Due to her ongoing fight with Imran over Alfie, Abi is at the top of the police’s hit list.
The authorities are also keeping an eye on Kevin as he was the last mechanic to have worked on Imran and Toyah’s car.
This leads to them believing the crash was not an accident.
In later scenes, Abi is also brought in for questioning as the police remain convinced somebody has tried to harm the couple.
