How old is Heather Mills?

Heather Mills was born in Aldershot, Hampshire, on January 12, in 1968 – making her 54.

She grew up in Northumberland after her family moved there when she was six.

Heather began modelling around age 18 and married businessman Alfie Karmal in 1989, but they split two years later.

Prior to her marriage to Sir Paul McCartney, she’d been engaged to filmmaker Chris Terrill, media executive Marcus Stapleton, and financier Raffaele Mincione.

When was she married to Paul McCartney?

Heather met Sir Paul at an awards ceremony in 1999.

The pair appeared publicly together on her 32nd birthday and he proposed to her in July 2001.

They were married in June 2002 in County Monaghan, Ireland, and had a daughter, Beatrice, a year later.

They split in 2006, and an incredibly acrimonious divorce followed.

Heather represented herself in court and asked for £125m.

She received £24.3m plus payments of £35,000 a year for costs for their daughter.

In January 2021, it was reported that Heather had found love again, and was engaged to film producer Mike Dickman, whom she described as the “love of her life”.

The couple began dating in 2019 after meeting on a train.

Heather reportedly left Mike, who is 17 years younger than her, a note declaring, “You’re hot, email me”, with her contact details attached.

How did Heather lose her leg?

When she was 25, Heather was knocked over by a police motorbike in 1993.

In incident occurred as she was crossing a road in London.

She suffered crushed ribs, a punctured lung and the loss of her leg six inches below her knee.

She’s been involved in charity and campaigning since the early 90s, according to her website.

In 1994, she set up workshops in prisons to dismantle and recycle prosthetic limbs that were then driven to the former Yugoslavia.

Despite her injury, she competed in ITV reality show Dancing on Ice in 2010, and Channel 4 winter sports competition show The Jump in 2016.

Is Heather Mills a vegan?

After her accident, Heather went to the Hippocrates Health Institute in Florida where they put her on a raw food vegan diet.

She has been outspoken about how she believes it saved her life and aided her recovery – and saved her knee from being amputated.

According to her site, “this enlightened approach to food nutrition and balanced organic living that not only healed my infection, but also then enabled me to reach above and beyond what I would have been able to achieve in my life without it”.
