Who is Julian Clary?
Julian Clary is an entertainer who was born in Surbiton on May 25, 1959.
He has been openly gay throughout his career and has often adopted a camp persona in front of the screen.
The theatre star is an accomplished actor on stage and screen, an author and a stand-up comedian.
He is the youngest of three children, with two older sisters.
Julian has no children and has admitted since that he had some regrets regarding this – telling Piers Morgan during a Life Stories interview that he once considered fathering a child with his female friend.
He later revealed that he doesn’t feel that he is “responsible and committed enough” to have children now.

Julian has been a staple on British TV since the mid-1980s.
He started to appear on the silver screen on Channel 4 comedy show Saturday Live as the Joan Collins Fan Club, before getting his own game show called Sticky Moments With Julian Clary.
He later starred alongside Lee Simpson in comedy sitcom Terry and Julian in 1992.
The actor has also appeared on Prickly Heat and was the face of Daz for three years, before going onto appear in hit shows Strictly Come Dancing, Who Do You Think You Are?, Have I Got News for You and Neighbours in a cameo appearance.
Julian even won Celebrity Big Brother in 2012 in a series that also featured Coleen Nolan, Martin Kemp and Rhian Sugden.

Who is Julian married to and how did they meet?
Julian is married to Ian Mackley.
The couple got together in 2005 after meeting at a yacht party in Ibiza.
They married in November 2016 and he confirmed the union with an innuendo-laden tweet of them signing the registry.
The tweet read: “On Saturday, he slipped his finger into my ring at last. #married.”
Joking that the secret to their long relationship was “having lots of space”, he later revealed: “We hardly see each other and neither of us are needy.
“We’re not dependent on each other emotionally or in any other way.”
What books has Julian Clary written?
Across the past ten years, Julian has written fiction – with a series featuring The Bolds.
The series is aimed at children but he has also written novels for adults such as Murder Most Fab and Devil in Disguise.
In 2005, he released his autobiography, A Young Man’s Passage, documenting his life until that 1993.
