He’s 31 and I’m 26.
The final straw was when my passport went missing just before I was meant to go to Portugal for the weekend with a girlfriend.
It meant I couldn’t fly and let her down badly. I later found my passport in his work bag, tucked behind some tools.
When I left, he threatened to hurt me unless I stayed.

You could write and ask that he returns it – perhaps to your mum’s address, not your new one.
By taking your passport again he is trying to get your attention and control you.
Talk to the police, as it is a crime for him to withhold your passport.
