Kanye West took to Instagram on Thursday to demand that Billie Eilish apologize for her recent comments regarding Travis Scott and the Astroworld tragedy.

The Donda rapper started out by saying ‘come on Billie we love you’ and adding that no one intended for the tragedy to happen and that ‘Trav didn’t have any idea of what was happening when he was on stage.’

The 44-year-old musician then issued an ultimatum, saying, ‘I need Billie to apologize before I perform.’

‘Come on Billie we love you please apologize to Trav and to the families of the people who lost their lives,’ he started out his statement.

‘No one intended this to happen Trav didn’t have any idea of what was happening when he was on stage and was very hurt by what happened,’ he continued.

‘And yes Trav will be with me at Coachella but now I need Billie to apologize before I perform,’ he concluded, though it’s unclear whether Scott will be performing with the rapper on stage.

Eilish replaced Scott on the Coachella bill after the tragic events at Astroworld.

Meanwhile the singer commented back saying, ‘literally never said a thing about travis. was just helping a fan.’

The rapper posted a screenshot of the comment on his Instagram with the caption, ‘The world is racist sexist homophobic and crazy phobic at our core its cheap and dismissive to say im off my meds anytime i speak up.’

He went on to say, ‘Phobia in this sense doesn’t mean being afraid of it means not giving power to lets be more conscious and not write each other off so easily [sic].’

Kanye’s statement comes after Eilish, 20, recently stopped her show to give an inhaler to a fan who couldn’t breathe, and made a comment that many took to be a dig at Scott.

After noticing a distressed fan, Eilish stopped her show and directed medical staff to administer aid to the fan and subsequently asked the other attendees to step back and let the individual in question regain their composure.

‘I wait for people to be OK until I keep going,’ the Ocean Eyes singer said, seeming to allude to Scott’s deadly Astroworld Festival while shaming the rapper’s conduct on stage.

The singer’s comment caused the audience to begin cheering loudly, and she proceeded to resume her show.

The incident involving Scott, 30, took place during the first night of the Astroworld Festival, which was held on November 5th of last year.

The performer’s fans began acting aggressively just after the start of his set, during which a crowd surge occurred and thousands were pushed towards the main stage.

During Scott’s performance, ten people were crushed by other fans and died from the effects of various ailments, including cardiac arrest and asphyxiation.

The concert was notably designated as a mass casualty event roughly halfway through its length.

However, the rapper continued to perform for his fans and brought out Drake to finish off his set, which ended around 10 PM.

Scott later garnered controversy for allegedly ignoring the events unfolding around him and was accused of ignoring concertgoers who had experienced medical issues during his set.

Several lawsuits were filed against the rapper for his role in the festival’s tragic events.

Kanye has been in the midst of various online controversies in the past few weeks, as he’s squabbled with ex-wife Kim Kardashian with whom he shares four kids North, eight, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two.

He first blasted Kim, 41, over their daughter North’s TikTok account, taking to Instagram and writing ‘Since this is my first divorce I need to know what should I do about my daughter being put on TikTok against my will?’

He also demanded a ‘public apology’ from Kim’s ‘entire family’ over not being invited to their other daughter Chicago’s birthday party, whom he claimed Kardashian had ‘kidnapped.’

He continued to publicly hash out his grievances about sharing custody, claiming that his ex is preventing him from taking their little ones to Chicago for a basketball game.

‘I WANT TO BRING MY KIDS TO MY HOME TOWN OF CHICAGO TO SEE MY BASKETBALL TEAM PLAY FOR 7 THOUSAND PEOPLE AND KIM IS STOPPING THAT HOW IS THIS JOINT CUSTODY?’ he fired on Instagram.

In another Instagram tirade, he claimed Kardashian accused him of planning a ‘hit’ on her.

‘These ideas can actually get someone locked up,’ West said. ‘They play like that with black mens’ lives weather [sic] it’s getting them free or getting them locked up. I’m not playing about my black children anymore.’
