Justin Bieber is looking to leave some legal drama in the past, filing a motion to dismiss a defamation lawsuit brought against two women who accused him of sexual assault.
The 28-year-old singer was accused in 2020 by two anonymous women – who go by ‘Danielle’ and ‘Kadi’ or ‘Khadidja’ on social media – of sexual assault in two separate incidents in 2014 and 2015.
The singer responded by calling the claims ‘outrageous lies’ and ‘factually impossible’ and by filing a defamation lawsuit seeking $20 million in damages, which he is now moving to dismiss, via TMZ.

Sources close to the singer claim that he chose to dismiss the case, ‘because he felt he’d made his point and wanted to move on.’
Danielle was the first to come forward against the singer in June 2020, claiming on social media she was inspired by another Twitter user, ‘itsgabby,’ who accused Ansel Elgort of sexual assault a week earlier.
Danielle claimed Bieber sexually assaulted her at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, Texas during the SXSW Music Festival in 2014.

Kadi/Khadidja was reportedly inspired by Danielle and came forward with her account from May 2015, where she claimed Bieber sexually assaulted her at the Langham Hotel in New York after the Met Gala, at approximately 2:30 AM.
Bieber filed his defamation lawsuit shortly after the allegations, claiming he could prove that neither of these incidents occurred.
Bieber said in the defamation lawsuit that he never set foot at the Four Seasons in Austin that night.

He claimed that, after his performance at SXSW, he left the venue with his then-girlfriend Selena Gomez and they both went to the rental property they were staying at near the venue.
Bieber also claimed in the defamation lawsuit that Kadi is a ‘superfan’ who has waited for him outside of hotels and is desperate to meet him and become famous.
The singer claims that Kadi has never met him and even pointed to tweets she made where she said she never met him, which were after the date she claims he sexually assaulted her.

He claimed that Kadi fabricated the May 2015 date because she knew he was attending the Met Gala then.
While Bieber did attend the Met Gala, the defamation lawsuit claimed he then attended a private after-party where he stayed to until 4 AM before going to a hot dog stand.
Bieber claims there is photographic evidence and witnesses to back this up, calling Kadi’s claim an, ‘impossibility – a poor, but damaging, fabrication.’
