Kanye, 44, made a post on his Instagram defending his “violent” music video release amid his social media attacks on Kim, 41, and her boyfriend Pete, 28.

He captioned the snapshot of an animated church burning from the music video: “Art is therapy, just like this view. Art is protected as freedom of speech.”

Kanye continued to defend his artistic choices behind the concerning music video: “Art inspires and simplifies the world. Art is not a proxy for any ill or harm.”

The music star concluded his argument: “Any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended.”

Fans, however, had a different opinion than Kanye’s about the music video in light of his recent attacks on Kim and Pete.

Taking to Reddit to discuss Kanye’s post, one fan began: “I understand art is subjective, but if the video was a stand-alone about his feelings, I think many people wouldn’t have responded so negatively.”

The fan continued: “Everything that preceded the music video that’s been going on for two months straight pretty much attacking Kim in regards to her parenting, publicist, partner, etc. has been considered emotional abuse.”

A second chimed in to agree: “The problem was that it came after weeks of Kanye bashing Pete online and blaming him for the breakdown of his marriage.”

They concluded: “This seems like gaslighting, Kanye.”

A third contributed: “I’m a Kanye fan, but I gotta be objective and not just make excuses for everything he does. I think he would be able to use the ‘It’s Just Art!’ excuse if it wasn’t for the pattern of online harassment he’s aimed at Pete and legitimate threats he’s sent him.”

WA-YE TOO FAR!

In an animated video for his song Eazy, he rapped about Pete as visuals onscreen acted out a violent situation.

Kanye raps in the song: “God saved me from the crash, just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s a**.”

As the lyrics are said, the animation showed a cartoon version of Pete being buried alive by Kanye.

The video – which is mostly clay animation – also shows Kanye’s character “dragging a lifeless body that is tied up by ropes with a bag over the head.”

Once Kanye pulls off the bag, Pete’s face is revealed as the rapper sprinkles rose seeds over his head.

Later in the music video, the Saturday Night Live star has roses coming from his head.

The flowers are then loaded into the back of a pickup truck.

The use of flowers is likely a nod to the the truckload of roses that Kanye sent Kim for Valentine’s Day this year.

The music video ends by making one final jab at Pete, with the text onscreen reading: “EVERYONE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER / EXCEPT SKETE YOU KNOW WHO / JK HE’S FINE.”

KIM WEIGHS IN

Kim has repeatedly asked Kanye to keep their personal matters private, and now, according to People, she’s once again angered by the hitmaker’s inability to do so.

A source told the outlet that Kim is “furious” with the father of her children for his latest threat against her boyfriend.

The insider added: “She thinks it’s way too violent and is upset.

“She’s really upset with Kanye that he’d do this.

“She’s completely over all of this and she wants it to stop.”

To show her support for her boyfriend Pete online, Kim made sure to “like” a sweet message about him on Twitter.

James Gunn, who wrote and directed The Suicide Squad, which Pete starred in, decided to share some of his feelings about the actor after the video was released.

He tweeted: “For the record, Pete Davidson is one of the nicest, sweetest guys I know.

“A truly generous, tender & funny spirit, he treats everyone around him with respect.”

As she’s made it known that she wants to keep her and Kanye’s personal issues as private as possible, Kim used the subtle social media feature of liking to send some public love and support to her boyfriend.

‘TERRIBLE’

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum wasn’t the only one angered and shocked by Kanye’s music video.

Both Kanye and Pete were trending on Twitter on Thursday thanks to the entertainer’s new project.

Fans slammed it all on social media, calling for Kanye to stop with the threatening content.

One user wrote on Twitter: “Ok, but that new Kanye video is scary.”

Another said: “That Kanye video is terrible and terrifying.”

A third tweeted: “This is disturbing and goes beyond ‘art’ and ‘self expression.’

“I hope someone gets Kanye immediate help!”
