KATE Ferdinand has revealed that she and husband Rio have suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage 12 weeks into a pregnancy.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star took to Instagram to reveal the heartbreaking news on Wednesday night as she told fans she was “devastated” by the loss.

Kate, 31, who welcomed baby son Cree with husband Rio, 43, in 2020, posted a black and white snap of herself in a hospital gown.
She revealed she had suffered a “devastating” miscarriage with her second child in an emotional caption to her Instagram following.
“The last time I was in this hospital I was having Cree, but this time it was because our baby had no heartbeat in our 12-week scan and I had to have surgery,” Kate penned.
“We were so excited & planning a space for our new baby in our family, we just couldn’t wait to share our news with you all, but unfortunately sometimes life just doesn’t go as we plan.

“So much to say, but somehow I can’t find the words. Absolutely devastated and heartbroken.”
Kate concluded by thanking her “big(ger) babies” – including Rio’s three children Lorenz, 16, Tate, 13 and Tia, 11 – for their love.
“Couldn’t be more grateful for the hugs I got from my big(er) babies coming through the door when we arrived home,” she wrote.
Her friends and fans flooded the comments section to offer support and send Kate their love at the difficult time.
Among them were fellow Towie stars Georgia Kousoulou and Sam Faiers, as well as model Lottie Tomlinson and influencer Tia Lineker.
“Sending my love to you,” reality star Chloe Lewis added, while Towie’s Amber Dowding penned: “So sorry my lovely, thinking of you all.”

Kate welcomed her first child – baby boy Cree – with former footballer husband Rio in December 2020, one year after their wedding.
The former reality TV star is also a proud step-mum to Rio’s three children from his marriage to Rebecca Ellison, who died in 2015 at the age of 34 following a battle with breast cancer.
