Katie Holmes was spotted while taking a solo stroll in New York City on Friday afternoon.
The 43-year-old performer appeared to be making the most of the pleasant springtime air as she walked along the Big Apple’s bustling streets.
The actress’ outing occurred during the production process of her forthcoming third directorial effort.

Holmes kept it casual in a navy blue crewneck sweater worn on top of a gray t-shirt during her outing.
The Batman Begins actress contrasted the dark tones of her tops with a set of white sweat pants and matching sneakers.
The performer, who went makeup-free during her outing, added a bit of color to her outfit with a bright red bag that was slung over her right shoulder.
Her gorgeous and typically free-flowing brunette locks were tied into a ponytail that fell onto her back.

Holmes is currently working on her forthcoming third directorial effort, entitled Rare Objects.
News about the project was initially revealed in June of last year, when Deadline announced that the actress had launched a production label named Lafayette Pictures.
At the time, it was also revealed that the performer would be helming the feature, which is based on Kathleen Tessaro’s 2016 novel of the same name.
Holmes also gave a statement to the media outlet where she expressed that she was enthusiastic about being able to lead the project.

Rare Objects will be centered on a young woman who aims to rebuild her life by working in an antique store while dealing with past trauma.
In addition to directing the feature, Holmes serves as one of its stars and co-wrote its screenplay.

Other performers who are currently set to appear in the movie include Saundra Santiago, Derek Luke and Gina Jun.
The actress spoke about working on the movie during an interview with InStyle, where she noted that she and the movie’s costume designer, Brie Welch, enjoyed bringing the cast’s wardrobes together.
She noted that her collaborator ‘really nailed it. It was so fun because she had a lot of Khaite stuff, a lot of Rosetta Getty, and just beautifully incorporated so many different characters.’
