LOVE ISLAND’s week one best bits will be revealed tonight as Gemma’s ex looks set to cause shock waves in villa tomorrow night when he enters.

The ex-boyfriend Jacques O’Neill quit his professional rugby league contract to enter the villa.

The 23-year-old sportsman played for Super League side Castleford Tigers before signing for the ITV dating show.

His entrance will certainly stir up some tensions tomorrow night following a crazy re-coupling.

The news comes as star Liam Llewellyn’s dad has flown out to Mallorca to be with his son following his early exit from the show.

Liam revealed he was not himself on last night’s episode of Love Island as he gathered everyone around the fire-pit and leaves them all stunned.

In a jam-packed episode Luca picked Gemma to recouple with leaving their former flames Davide and Paige devastated.

It came as it was revealed Gemma’s ex-boyfriend was entering the villa as a bombshell.

As viewers watched the dramatic scenes unfold on Friday night’s show, Liam’s devoted dad was making his way to meet his son.

The 23-year-old sportsman played for Super League side Castleford Tigers before signing for the ITV dating show.

His former club issued a statement after it was revealed last night that Jacques is the latest bombshell arrival.

It said: “Castleford Tigers can confirm that the Club has agreed to release Jacques O’Neill from his contract to allow him to pursue another opportunity.”

The club revealed Jacques would be welcomed back with open arms should he choose to return to sport after the show.

  • Davide is FAKING his strong accent, claim furious Italian Love Island fans

LOVE Island’s Italian fan-base claims Davide Sanclimenti is faking his accent.

The smooth-talking hunk, who was born in Rome and now lives in Manchester, has been turning the villa’s girls to putty with his good looks and charming voice.

But some fans are convinced he’s playing up his accent for effect.

Sharing their opinion with Love Island’s Reddit community, one viewer declared: “I’m Italian and I think Davide’s accent is fake.”

Clarifying their statement, they then added: “Or to the very least most certainly forced. There you go.

“I’m basing this on a very large pool of fellow Italians who live in the UK like me. People with an accent that strong also tend to mess up with the grammar, which is not Davide’s case. Some of the things he mispronounces are also not a thing. I’m not saying he has no accent at all, but he was most likely asked to force it.”

  • Fans point out major problem with Ekin and Davide being a couple

LOVE Island’s Davide and Ekin-Su are the latest hot couple in the villa, but fans have spotted a major issue.

The Turkish actress has been infatuated with Italian Davide since arriving as a bombshell.

However, despite spending plenty of time with him, Ekin-Su is yet to master the pronunciation of his name.

One fan mused: “I wonder if Davide is gunna tell Ekin-Su how to properly say his name #LoveIsland.”

The name gaffe is yet to have hindered her though, as last night she finally got her man in the first recoupling.

It came after the pair bonded in the gym, with Davide crafting his perfect pecs as actress Ekin-Su drooled by his side.

In a jam-packed episode Luca picked Gemma to recouple with leaving their former flames Davide and Paige devastated.

It came as it was revealed Gemma’s ex-boyfriend was entering the villa as a bombshell.

  • Love Island’s Liam’s sister breaks silence on brother’s exit

Love Island star Liam Llewellyn ‘s sister has broken her silence on his exit.

Her brother suddenly quit the show last night after informing his fellow islanders he didn’t think the experience was for him.

Mirror.co.uk reports that following Liam’s departure, the celeb’s sister Georgia – who has been operating his social media account – answered fans’ questions about why he opted to go on the programme in the first place.

Georgia revealed a “summer of love” on ITV2 hadn’t been Liam’s own idea and he was in fact scouted by producers.

One asked: “What made Liam want to go on Love Island?”

Georgia replied: “They approached him in January and it started from there.”

Georgia later said: “Thank you all so much for all the love and support you have shown Liam during his time in the villa since making his decision to leave.

“He has remained true to himself throughout and we couldn’t make be more proud.”

  • Michael Owen on Love Island: ‘Not something a father wants to watch’

Football star Michael Owen has issued a damning verdict of his daughter’s appearance on Love Island.

According to Yahoo News, he said the show is “not something any father wants to watch.”

Owen had never watched an episode of Love Island before and admitted he was surprised by the fact all of the contestants routinely share beds within their couples.

He said: “Luckily for me, there was no physical contact. Gemma had her back to the guy. There was space between them.

“I thought ‘good girl’. No father wants to see physical contact, do they? I certainly don’t.

“If there is physical contact I think I’ll be throwing something at the screen. I don’t want to see kissing. Do not make me see kissing.”

  • Michael Owen defends ‘rude and too young’ daughter against Love Island fans

Footballing legend Michael Owen has lashed out at Love Island fans who believe his daughter Gemma is “rude and too young”.

According to Mirror.co.uk, some viewers have questioned her attitude, with several arguing the footballer’s daughter needs to improve her manners.

Others suggest she is far too young to be in the villa, especially as she’s paired with Davide Sanclimenti, who is eight years her senior.

But now Michael has responded to criticism of his offspring.

After confessing Gemma’s mum Louise was “very upset” after reading the comments, he said: “To look at my social media feeds you’d think 70 per cent of the world hates me, but it’s different when it’s your daughter.”

  • Love Island fans disturbed by Luca Bish’s shameless gesture

Love Island fans have noticed a gesture Luca Bish made after coupling up with Gemma Owen, stealing her from Davide Sanclimenti… and they are disturbed by his brave decision.

As the contestants sat down at the firepit, Luca cheekily stuck his tongue out in glee.

The shocking moment was spotted by several viewers, with one person guessing that Luca may have been sticking his tongue out at business owner Davide as they joked: “LUCA IS CHOOSING VIOLENCE.”

Metro.co.uk reports that one person wrote “Best islander in a while,” while another commented: “I like his chaotic behaviour.”

Someone else said that Luca “isn’t messing about”, while another wrote in response: “Had me questioning my sanity for a sec I couldn’t believe it.”

One viewer said it was “funny as hell”, with another person adding: “Luca carrying this show so hard what a goat.”

O’Neill, 23, has played for the Super League club 29 times since signing in 2019.

According to BBC News, his first appearance on the show is expected to be on Sunday.

“Castleford Tigers would like to wish Jacques well with his new opportunity and thank him for his efforts as a Tiger so far,” a club statement said.

  • Love Island’s Gemma Owen’s dad obvious because of recent clues

Gemma Owen essentially revealed who her famous dad is with some very “obvious” clues during a chat on Thursday’s Love Island.

Chronicle Live reports that many fans learnt via her name that her father is none other than famous footballer Michael Owen, and she dropped numerous obvious clues such as what her “goal” was on the show and if she’d “score.”

Luca quizzed her on who her family would get on best with out of the lads in the villa, to which she replied: “You, because you’re into football, you’re into racing…I think my dad would…I feel like you’d have stuff in common.”

  • Love Island’s Davide’s workout sparks Twitter fury

Twitter users are furious over Love Island’s latest Twitter post

Love Island tweeted a picture of contestant Davide Sanclimenti working out in an unusual way, but when Twitter users realised it was not Gemma Owen on top of his shoulders, many of them were furious.

“Trying to find someone you leave the villa with that you care about – obviously that’s the goal, isn’t it? But when you‘re not feeling that, it makes it a hard sort of time to find that.”

He continued: “This isn’t a spur of the moment type of thing, so yeah I’ve made a decision that I am going to leave the villa. It’s been a breeze – it’s been an absolute ball. You’re all unreal.”
