When asked ‘Why do you think you are a catch?’ Jay said: ‘I think I genuinely have what most females want.
‘I’ve got a good job, I think I am a good looking lad and I have a lot of fun so I feel like I could add a lot of value to their lives if they add a lot of value to mine.’
When Remi was asked ‘Why Love Island and why now?’ he responded: ‘I am single AF! When I saw Molly [Mae Hague] and Tommy [Fury] and saw how strong they are together, I thought ‘I want a love like that.’
Monday’s episode also saw the first dumping of the series, with lounge host Afia Tonkmor, 25, given her marching orders from the villa.

In a post-exit chat, Afia said: ‘Obviously I’m going to miss everyone in the Villa but I’m going to keep trying to find love. I’m sure Mr Right is out there somewhere.
‘There was so much adrenaline going in – it was just so exciting when we both walked in. I really loved walking in with Ekin-Su.
‘ Initially I was attracted to Dami but then throughout the experience it was more Ikenna. I did get the vibe that things were going well for Indiyah and Ikenna quite quickly.’
The star added as to who she thought could go the distance and win the show, saying: ‘Luca and Gemma. And Amber and Dami. It’s such early days but those two felt like the most solid couples.’
