LOVE Island’s Demi Jones showed off her two new butterfly tattoos in Ibiza after beating cancer.
The 23-year-old, who is currently living her best life in the celeb hotspot, was diagnosed with the disease in May last year.
After a number of surgeries, Demi revealed that she was cancer free back in December 2021.
The reality star decided to get a tattoo while out in Spain to celebrate beating thyroid cancer.
Sharing a snap of the tiny fine line ink on her ankle, Demi captioned the post: “Excuse the tan, but I got a little [butterfly emoji] on my ankle to represent my Thyroid Cancer.”
Thyroid cancer develops in your thyroid gland, which is located in your neck, and is usually noticed when a lump forms there.
The cells within the thyroid grow too quickly and create a lump.
There are four types which include: papillary carcinoma, follicular carcinoma, medullary thyroid carcinoma, anaplastic thyroid carcinoma.
Demi, who shot to fame on Love Island at the beginning of 2020, first noticed the lump in 2019.
Demi went to get lump checked in 2020.
